Nevada Conservation Leadership PAC launches new digital ad campaign and field program across Nevada
Carson City, NV – Today, Nevada Conservation Leadership PAC (NCL PAC) launched a new $700,000 digital ad campaign to inform voters about Governor Lombardo’s record of raising costs and huge giveaways to Big Tech data centers. New ads will run across digital platforms over the next two weeks. The ads highlight how the Lombardo Administration gave out over $200 million in state tax breaks to data center companies during his first term. The campaign will also focus on rising energy costs that have hit everyday Nevadans across the state.
NCL PAC also launched a $400,000 paid canvassing operation expecting to knock on nearly 38,000 doors in Southern Nevada. The field program is focused on increasing voter awareness of Aaron Ford and how he plans to lower costs. Canvassers are also speaking with voters about Ford’s plans to ensure that data centers are not raising their energy costs or taking resources from Nevadans.
“Whenever Joe Lombardo has been given the choice, he continues to pick his Big Tech donors over everyday Nevadans,” said Kristee Watson, Executive Director for NCL PAC. “Our electricity bills keep going up year after year and with more data centers on the way, things could get worse. We need leaders in Carson City who are willing to stand up and fight for working families struggling to make ends meet. In just a few short weeks Nevadans have a clear choice. Someone ready to fight the greedy corporations or someone willing to give away our tax dollars to the richest companies.”
Recently polling from Emerson College showed Nevadans oppose new data centers. 59% of Nevada voters oppose data centers being built in or near their community including 61% of independents, and a majority of Republicans (44% support, 43% oppose).
Under Joe Lombardo, rent keeps rising and our electric bill.
Under Lombardo Nevada gave data centers over $200 million in tax breaks.
And Lombardo backed a bill that could raise utility rates across Nevada.
Joe has to go.
