NEVADA — Today, as we mark Earth Day and reflect on the urgent need to protect our air, water, and public lands, the Nevada Conservation League proudly announced its endorsement of Aaron Ford for Governor in the 2026 election.

This is a critical moment for our state, and we are proud to stand with a proven leader who shares our values.”

When I was a State Senator, NCL recognized my work on environmental policy by naming me ‘Senator of the Year.’ As Governor, I will continue to protect Nevada communities that rely on our lands and waters by helping build out residential solar, and getting clean energy projects off the ground faster. I will also work to stop the unlawful demand charge set to raise Nevadans’ energy bills by hundreds of dollars a year. As the former Senate Majority Leader in the Nevada Legislature and the state’s current Attorney General, Ford has built a record of advancing clean energy, protecting consumers, and defending Nevada’s environment. He’s taken action to challenge entrenched utility monopolies, pushed back against federal decisions that harm Nevadans, and has consistently supported efforts to transition to a cleaner, more sustainable future.
